Today is the day!  I finally closed on my future office space and in typical fashion, I wasted no time to get it ready for action!  Today was DAY 1 of DEMOLITION.

I must admit, the days leading up to this were filled with excitement and anticipation and a little nervousness at attempting a remodeling project that is way out of my league.  But by the time today came around, nothing by excitement and joy and peace filled my heart!  I am also blessed by an awesome brother, Brett Gottlob, who has been guiding me throughout this process.  He had the tools and even some protective eyewear for me to try on.  However, as you'll soon find out in the video below, it wasn't the eyes that needed protecting!

I've never smashed a cast-iron bathtub before, but now I can say I have.  I've also never got stitches by a flying piece of glass mirror, and now I can say I had that too.  Brett also injured his knee.  So we probably spent about 1/3 of the time today in the waiting room..and maybe an hour at lunch hoping his leg would recover.  Brett sees the doctor tomorrow to find out what is really keeping him from being able to extend his leg.

The good news?  Well, lunch was at Mario and Luigis.  I've always written that place off by the way it looks on the outside, but after hearing several good recommendations, I decided to try it.  The $6.99 lunch menu is unbeatable and it looks like they make their own homemade pasta too!  Hmmm, I think we'll go back tomorrow!

The bad news?  My biceps look like a football with the stitches and this will put a damper on my swimming routine.  My "star quarterback" Brett is injured and I hope it's not going to require surgery. 

Tomorrow is Day 2 of Demolition and the weather is calling for snow...how much will we get done?  Stay tuned!
